A closer look at Custom Starter Set: Final Fantasy X

Last week, Square Enix had a special live stream where they shared details about some upcoming products including the Custom Starter Set: Final Fantasy X. This starter set is the first of its kind, consisting of 1 preconstructed deck of 50 cards and an extra 50 cards that can be used to customise the deck to fit any player’s style.

This Starter Set is a great way for newbies of the FFTCG to get stuck in, as it provides a player with not only a deck but also allows them to begin deck-building straight away with the extra cards provided. Collectors will also be interested in buying this product, as it comes with lots of brand new cards, including a full art premium Tidus card.

The Cards of the Deck –

The initial deck is a Wind/Water one that can be turned into a Fire/Wind or Fire/Water. Some of the cards were showcased during a match, with some of the cards that were played having their high-quality versions placed on the screen.

The next set coming to the FFTCG will be Emissaries of Light, which will continue the Crystal mechanic. As always, this set will bring protagonists from many mainline and spin-off Final Fantasy titles, which will allow players to include their favourites characters in their decks. This set will release on April 15th and will have an April 8th pre-release. To learn more about some of the new cards coming with this set, head over to our article here
