Artwork of the Pokemon TCG – the Online Illustration Exhibition

There are many reasons why the Pokemon TCG has been the most popular trading card game for the past 25 years. One aspect that arguably stands out among all others is its incredibly diverse artwork, created by several talented artists in the industry. Now, fans worldwide get the chance to truly appreciate these art pieces within the special Online Illustration Exhibition that is now open for virtual visitors.

The Online Illustration Exhibition, taking place between August 10th and October 22nd, will let fans get a closer look at the artwork of their favourite cards. You will also get to learn more about the art of the Pokemon TCG, with 50 artists commenting on their pieces and sharing the inspiration behind them.

According to the official Pokemon website, the exhibition will be broken down into three distinct themes – Life, History, and Artist. ‘Life’ will look into the habitats and routines of different Pokemon depicted in card art. ‘History’ will delve into the past and cover events spanning the last 25 years, and ‘Artist’ will share the thoughts of the Pokemon TCG’s most popular artists, including Megumi Mizutani, Akira Egawa, and many others.

The Online Illustration Exhibition will be available on the Pokemon website between August 10th and October 22nd and will be free to view. So, what cards are you looking forward to learning about?
