The brand new Memorial Collection 25th Anniversary has been announced for the Digimon Card Game, which will first release in the Japanese version of the game before heading to the English version. This set will include 12 new alternate art cards, displayed in an A4 folder.
What is really exciting about this set is the diversity of the artwork, which is among the most creative we have seen in a while. This is is a celebration of the V-Pet devices that started the Digimon franchise off. All card arts are themed on the original Digimon lineup from the first V-Pet device (Ver.1), excluding the Digitama. The card art of the Memorial Collection 25th Anniversary will be displayed at the Digimon Museum taking place at the Belle Salle Akihabara on July 29th in Japan. Those who visit the event will get special packs containing card art from the Illustration Competition winners on entry to the event.

Event Description –
Digital Monster, which was born as an LCD toy in 1997, has since spread to various products and content that transcend genres such as games, animations, cards, and has been supported by fans around the world. In July 2022, which marks the 25th anniversary of its beginning, we will hold an exhibition event where you can enjoy the charm of the world of Digital Monster, while looking back on illustrations. We look forward to seeing you at the Digimon Museum, an event where you can enjoy the world and charm of Digimon, whether you are a fan who has supposed it from the beginning to now, or fans who have come to be fond of it with the TV anime Digimon Ghost Game.
Pre-orders for the Memorial Collection 25th Anniversary is now available on the Japanese Premium Bandai website, which will cost customers 1,500 yen. Pre-orders will close on August 31st, with shipping expected in November.
This special event will be a celebration of the Digimon franchise. It is unknown how Bandai intend on celebrating the 25th-anniversary milestone in western countries, but hopefully, it includes this folder and its stunning card art.
