Digimon Card Game: Draconic Roar – Hina Kurihara featured in card art

Seeing Tamers appear alongside their Digimon companions is no new thing, with the first ones being the Campaign promo cards that came with the Next Adventure booster. With the Draconic Roar set, Hina Kurihara, from the Digimon Links video game, will appear on the alternate art Metallicdramon and Volcanicdramon.

In the Digimon Card Game, Hina will take on the role of Tamer for Vorvomon and Jazamon, as Links doesn’t have an appearance. Unfortunately, the Digimon Links game was shut down for good on July 30th, 2019. It is quite fitting that Hina has been included in the third EX set, as it releases just one day before the 3 year anniversary of the game’s end.

Hina Kurihara
Metallicdramon
[On Play] <De-Digivolve 1> all of your opponent’s Digimon. Then, delete 1 of your opponent’s Digimon with a play cost of 5 or less. If no Digimon was deleted by this effect, all of your opponent’s unsuspended Digimon can’t digivolve until your opponent’s turn ends.
[Opponent’s Turn] While you have a Tamer in play, this Digimon gains <Blocker> and <Reboot>.
Volcanicdramon
[On Play] Delete all of your opponent’s Digimon with the lowest DP. If no Digimon was deleted by this effect, your opponent can’t play Digimon with a DP of 5000 or less until your opponent’s turn ends.
[When Attacking] If you have a Tamer in play, trash the top card of your opponent’s security stack.

Hina will appear on the alternate art Metallicdramon and the alternate art Volcanicdramon, seen admiring the two fully Digivolved forms. Both of these cards are SRs coming with Draconic Roar, and will play a big part in the Jazamon chain, which will use the Hina Kurihara Tamer card, debuting in this set.

EX3 Draconic Roar will release in Japan on July 29th, with the English release following on November 11th. This set will inject several debuting Digimon and new deck archetypes, such as the ‘Trial of the Four Great Dragons’ and the dual Guilmon cards, just to name a few.
