Digimon Card Game – X-Record Booster Reveals

The next set in the Japanese version of the Digimon Card Game, which will eventually arrive within the English version of the game, will be X-Record. This set will focus on the X-Antibody Digimon that were first introduced into the anime within the eighth Digimon movie, Digital Monster X-Evolution.

Kuwagamon X-Antibody
/Evolves from “Kuwagamon” for 0 Cost/
(ESS) [Your Turn] While this Digimon has an Insectoid-type, this Digimon gains <PIERCING>.
Piromon
[Both Players’ Turns] Both players cannot put Digimons into play via card effects.
Matadormon
[When Attacking] By trashing a card with “Undead type” or “Dark Animal Type”, this Digimon gets DP+3000 until the end of the turn.

[Your Turn] When this Digimon evolves into a Digimon card from your trash, the evolution cost is reduced by 1.
Dracumon
[On Play] Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Among those cards choose 1 ‘Undead-type’ or ‘Dark Animal-type’ add 1 to your hand, discard 1 to the trash. Put the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
(ESS) [When Attacking] This Digimon can evolve into an’ Undead-type’ or ‘Dark Animal-type’ Digimon card in your trash by paying for its evolution cost.

[Both Players’ Turns] Both players cannot put Digimons into play via card effects.

[Your Turn] If this Digimon has a card named “OmegaShoutmon” or “X-Antibody” in its evolution sources, this Digimon can attack an unsuspended Digimon.

[Your turn] <1/TURN> When your blue tamer comes into play, draw 1.

Inherited Effect: [Your turn] <1/TURN> When the number of cards in your hand increases due to your effects, return one of your opponent’s LV3 Digimon to your opponent’s hand.
Bibi Thunder
[Main] Return one of your opponent’s LV4 or lower Digimon to your opponent’s hand. Then, if you have a Digimon with “Jellymon” in its name or a Digimon with a card named “Jellymon” in its evolution sources, return one of your opponent’s tamer to their hand.

[Security] Activate this card’s [Main] effects.

<JOGRESS: Lv.6 Purple Digimon + Lv.6 Yellow Digimon for 0 Cost>
[When Evolve] If this Digimon Jogress Evolved, delete 1 of your opponent’s Lv.6 or higher Digimon and all of your opponent’s Lv.5 and lower Digimon. For each Digimon that was deleted by this effect, <RECOVERY 1 (Deck)>.

[On Play] Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Add 1 Purple or Yellow Digimon card among them to your hand. Trash the remaining cards.
[Both players’ turns] When a Purple and Yellow dual color Digimon is put into play, by resting this tamer, gain +1 memory.

Meicrackmon Vicious Mode
[When Played] [When Evolve] Trash one card from your hand. If the trashed card is purple, delete one of your opponent’s LV3 Digimon. If the trashed card is yellow, one of your opponent’s Digimon gets DP-3000 until the end of the turn.

Inherited Effect: [On Deletion] If this Digimon was 2 or more colors, gain +2 memory.
Raguelmon
[When Play] Choose 1 Purple or Yellow Digimon with DP6000 or lower from your trash and play it without paying for its play cost. If you have 1 or less cards in your security stack, you may play a LV6 or less ‘Angel-type’ or ‘Fallen Angel-type’ Digimon from your trash into play without paying for its play cost instead.

[At the end of your turn] You may <JOGRESS> this Digimon and another Digimon you have in play into a Digimon card in your hand.
Magnamon X-Antibody
[Evolves from “Magnamon” for 4 Cost]

[Opponent’s turn] When your opponent’s Digimon attacks, if this Digimon has a card “Armor Form” or “X-Antibody” in its evolution sources, you can change the attack target to this Digimon.

[Both players’ turns] When this Digimon is deleted, by putting the top card of this Digimon’s stack on top of your security, prevent the deletion.
Golden Knight Awakening
If you have an Armor-type Digimon in play, you can play this card ignoring its color requirements.

[Main] You may evolve one of your Armor-type Digimon in play into a Digimon card with “Magnamon” in its name in your hand without paying for its evolving cost, ignoring its evolving requirements. Until the end of your opponent’s next turn, the Digimon that evolved by this effect cannot have its DP reduced.

[Security] Return a card with “Magnamon” in its name from your trash to your hand and put this card into your hand.

[Evolves from Digimon with “Tailmon” in its name for 0 Cost]

[When Evolve] Suspend 1 of your opponent’s Digimon. Then, if this Digimon is attacking, you may change the attack target to an opponent’s suspended Digimon.

What are X-Antibody Digimon? 

For those of you who have not seen all of the Digimon movies or read all of the manga, the X-Antibody Digimon appeared in Digital Monster X-Evolution, Digimon Chronicle, Digimon Chronicle X and Digimon D-Cyber. In these stories, X-Antibody is a vaccine that makes a Digimon immune to the X-Program, which is designed to delete all Digimon. Those who can resist deletion due to the X-Antibody become altered yet more powerful forms of their original counterparts. 

Online Japanese stores have began taking pre-orders for BT-9: X-Record, which is expected to release on February 25th 2022 in Japan, with the English version coming a few months after that. It is likely to have 112 card types in total, which is the same amount of cards as other large booster sets.
