Digimon Card Game – Xros Encounter Option cards revealed!

Over the last couple of weeks, reveals for the upcoming Xros Encounter have been trickling in. While we have already seen some of the cards that will make up the new archetypes coming to the Digimon Card Game, Bandai has also shared several Xros Encounter Option cards that will offer some fantastic support.

Most of the Xros Encounter Option cards already revealed for this set work with specific archetypes, as they list certain Digimon names in their requirements. The only exceptions are the Plug-In cards which are far more versatile. With that being said, there will be new deck archetypes that will work with these kinds of Option cards, such as the Renamon chain. Plug-In cards will first arrive in the Digital Hazard booster, which will release on June 24th for the English version of the Digimon Card Game.

Paying homage to some of Digimon’s iconic music, the Hero flying through the sky! Option card, coming with Xros Encounter, is named after the Flying Hero! X5 song which was included on the Xros Wars CD. The Immortal Champion card is also named after a song from the same three-song CD.

Last week, we got the first reveals of the Xros Encounter set, which will focus on the short-run Digimon Fusion series that ran from 2010 to 2012. If you would like to check those cards out, as well as the pack and box art of the set, check out the links below –
