The next set releasing in Japan will be New Hero, which will focus on the Digimon Adventure 02 series that aired between 2000 and 2001. A lot of cards have already been revealed for this exciting new set, including several yellow and dual yellow cards, which will enter the Digimon TCG for the first time. The New Hero booster set will also introduce new Keyword Effects and Tamers, as well as the Armor Digivolution and DNA Digivolution forms, which will provide alternative ways of getting to your higher-level cards.
Below, we have the latest yellow cards revealed for the upcoming New Hero booster set. These include the new dual cards, which offer more flexibility when creating decks by giving two colour options when Digivolving.
What’s new in the New Hero booster set?
DNA Digivolve –
DNA Digivolve, or Jogress as it is known in Japan, allows a player to stack two Digimon together, as long as it meets the Digivolve conditions. This will cost no memory and will allow both stacks of cards to combine, keeping all of the Inherited Effects. The only downside to this will be that you will only have one Digimon, instead of two, after merging them together.
Armor Digivolution –
Armor Digivolution allows a player to Digivolve into certain Digimon for a much lower memory cost, as long as you use the Digimon listed on the card. Some of these Armor Digivolution forms also have the Armor Release Keyword Effect, which allows a player to stop the Digimon from getting trashed by removing the next card beneath it. This will provide a lot of protection for the Digimon but will gradually make it weaker as Inherited Effects are gradually removed.
