Digimon TCG reprints on the way!

Digimon Reprints

In March, Bandai shared on their social media pages that reprints of Digimon TCG Special Booster 1.0 and 1.5 were on the way after both boosters, as well as the first three starter decks, sold out completely. Scalpers were mostly blamed for this, who were buying products so that they could be resold on the secondary market for massively inflated prices. These reprints arrived at the end of March, which seemed to have steadied out the market and allowed people to finally get their hands on boosters.

Following an announcement about the delays to their future products, Bandai has sweetened the bad news by outlining their reprint plans for Digimon TCG, which will guarantee product availability going forward.

Three more reprint waves of Digimon Special Booster 1.0 and 1.5, as well as the first three starter decks, will be arriving in June, July, and August. It seems that Bandai is being cautious when it comes to releasing the third English Digimon Booster set, Great Legends, by reprinting the set in advance so that they can arrive with distributors in June and July. Digimon starter Decks 4-6 will also get an early reprint, which means they will be with distributors in August. All this additional stock will undoubtedly put the minds of Digimon TCG fans to rest, as they will not be forced to pay higher prices to get their hands on boosters. Of course, due to distribution problems brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, further delays could change this schedule.

Digimon isn’t the only TCG that has felt the effects of delays in the last year, as new sets for Final Fantasy, Pokemon and the DBS CG were all pushed back a couple of weeks as the logistics and distribution issues were solved.
