Digimon TCG: Starter Decks 9 & 10 Leaks

Digimon TCG new Decks

While fans of the English game eagerly await Starter Decks 7 & 8, the latest Starter Decks coming out in Japan will be ST-9 Ultimate Ancient Dragon and ST-10 Tactician from Another World. Although the full contents of these products are yet to be revealed, we do have a number of interesting leaks that give an insight into the next stage of the Digimon TCG.

First of all, we have the artwork for both boxes, which shows two very contrasting deck designs. The obvious detail on both of these boxes, which differs from the past ones, is the dual colours that reflect the Digimon types included in the decks. We have already had a few dual colour cards introduced into the TCG, but this will be the first time that a Starter Deck strays from one particular colour type.

Starter Decks 9 & 10

Starter Deck 9 & 10 will cost 1,320 yen ($12) and will each contain 53 cards and six bonus promo cards, similar to how the Memory Boost cards came with Starter Decks 7 & 8. Each deck will also contain two memory gauges, a playmat, and three indexes.

Starter Decks 9 & 10 will be available in Japan on October 29th, which could mean an English version could be expected early next year. Earlier this week, we got the news that more delays were hitting the Digimon TCG, including Starter Decks 7 Gallantmon and Starter Deck 8 UlforceVeedramon, which will be the next Starter Decks coming to the English game. These two were initially meant to come out on September 30th but have been pushed back to October 15th in many regions due to distribution issues brought on by the Pandemic. Those living in North America will have to wait even longer, now having a Mid-November release date. To learn more about these and other delays, check out our article here.
