Eevee Heroes: A look at the best modern Eevee artwork

Eevee Heroes Artwork

Eevee Heroes is an upcoming Japanese set announced earlier today focusing on Eevee and its eight eeveelutions. More information surrounding the release can be found here. Today, we’re going to look at some of the best Eevee and Eeveelution artwork from recent years (2016 onwards) in an attempt to get even more excited about an Eevee Heroes!

Sylveon EX (Full Art) RC32

How can you not love this card? Eevee and Sylveon playing happily together is one of the standout cards from 2016’s Generations Radiant Collection and it’s easy to see why. Sylveon is the newest Eeveelution, first appearing in Generation 6, and whilst the cute fairy type Pokémon is maybe not the most popular when compared to its siblings this card is too sweet not to own.

Flareon EX (Full Art) RC28

Coming from the same Generations set, this Flareon EX is quite possibly the best modern-day Eevee card. Standing in between the other two original Eeveelutions, Vaporeon and Jolteon, Flareon EX is the perfect full art modern card for any Eevee fan. If this new Eeevee Heroes set has any artwork remotely similar it will be one of, if not the, most popular cards from the set.

Eevee Munch: A Retrospective

Releasing at the end of 2018, the Eevee Scream promo is one of the most iconic recent-day Japanese promo cards thanks to the combined collection alongside Pikachu, Mimikyu, Rowlet, and Psyduck. Eevee not only appears in this full art version but also in the background of Pikachu’s Scream card. Quite possibly the most unique Eeevee card, although the next one in this list may have something to say about that.

Eevee GX Black Star SM233

This card is bizarre, to say the least. An oddly caricatural representation of Eevee showcasing a fat Eevee from illustrator Q-Rais who illustrates “The Unfortunate Cat” manga. There isn’t much else to add here, the image does most of the talking.

Eevee & Snorlax GX

To round off this list of some of the great modern Eevee cards of recent years, why not Eevee and Snorlax Tag Team GX from Tag Bolt in Japan, or Team Up in English. There are multiple variants of this card and like most Tag Team GX cards they showcase awesome artwork with a great stylistic choice. The base artwork is my favourite here, highlighting the two together. Who doesn’t love Snorlax?
