FF TCG: A closer look at Zack – PR071/10-007H

There are several highly sought after and valuable cards in the FF TCG, many of which have been around since the very beginning. Well, for ‘Zack – PR071/10-007H’, which was intended for tournament participation, this really isn’t the case. In fact, despite being less than a year old, this card has soared to the higher end of the FF TCG market.

So what makes ‘Zack – PR071/10-007H’ so sought after? Well, the FF TCG Fan Fair event was supposed to take place on March 15th, 2020, at the Hilton LAX in Los Angeles. This card was meant to be given out to those participating in the tournament of the event, but due to the 2020 Fan Fair being cancelled due to the pandemic, the cards never got a full distribution. Some copies of ‘Zack – PR071/10-007H ’ were given out at one event just before the restrictions hit, but the majority of copies on the market are the ones handed out by Square Enix to organisers.

Zack - PR071/007H

The current value –

Sales data for ‘Zack – PR071/10-007H’ is incredibly limited, which could be a result of its scarcity. The last one to sell through TCG Player went for $598 on July 16th, 2021. This seems to be the only copy sold through the site, which has set the current market guide at that price. There are two copies up for sale on TCG Player for $750 and $799, which may be a little too high, as on eBay, prices of this card range between $690 and $775. It is worth noting that some of the copies have been up for sale since early 2020 and are yet to sell for these prices.

There are currently two PSA graded versions on this card, one of which being a 9 and the other a 10. Neither have shown up on the market yet, so its value is yet to be determined.

What could cause this card’s value to drop?

Although this card is currently one of the most valuable in the game, there is a chance that the price could drop if they were to be distributed at future events now that Covid-19 restrictions are loosening up. It is likely that Square Enix will use ‘Zack – PR071/10-007H’ once again as a way to attract players back to events, along with other promos that got an incredibly limited distribution during 2020. These include  ‘Chelinka PR-072/7-054L’, which was intended for the 2020 ‘Road to World Championship’ event and ‘Golbez / Cecil (A-004)’, which were meant for the Crystal Cup and Regionals held in the U.S.
