A 27-year-old man from Bangor, northwest Wales has found a PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator under his bed frame.
Derek, an enthusiastic street performer contacted Ludkins Media with information regarding his discovery after he “dropped his beard oil” that ended up rolling under his bed.
“I’m thinking of removing it from this plastic container thing and maybe buying a binder to protect it. Or I may give it to my nephew, he’s five and loves Pokeman.”
Derek, 27
When asked about how such a valuable card could possibly have been left in such a random spot, Derek emphasised, “I love hanging out under my bed, every day I find something new”.
“One time I found a book I’d lost a decade ago, the next a tortoise, now this trading card. It’s the bed that keeps on giving and I can’t wait to look under it again.”
The man in question is a huge Pokemon fanboy, his favourite species “I like that small orange dinosaur thing” as he points to Agumon on our Digimon news category.
There is currently one PSA 10 of the “Holy Grail” of Pokemon: Pikachu Illustrator. Up until today, the owner had yet to come forward. Now we know, Derek has been keeping the PSA 10 safe this whole time.

In January, American DJ Steve Aoki purchased a raw version of the same card for $420,000, it would later go on and grade a PSA 9. Due to the lack of information on the whereabouts of the only PSA 10 in circulation, no one knows how much Derek’s card is worth.
What will Derek do with the priceless card? “I’m thinking of removing it from this plastic container thing and maybe buying a binder to protect it. Or I may give it to my nephew, he’s five and loves Pokeman.”
Collectors all over the world will be overjoyed to hear that this unobtainable copy of such a sought-after card is in such good hands.
Derek never found his beard oil.
