Next Adventure – Alternate Art Cards Revealed!

The entire card list for the Next Adventure booster set has been uploaded to the official Digimon TCG website, giving players an early opportunity to plan their future decks and decide which cards they would most like to add to their collection when the set is released. Although the card list is extensive, the alternate arts of the set have been left out. Fortunately, we now have images of these cards, showcasing some fantastic illustrations and abilities. 

Freymon

[On Play] Draw 4 cards from the top of your deck. Add a card with “Hybrid”, “Susanoomon”, or “Takuya Kamihara” to your hand. Return the remaining cards to the bottom of the deck in any order.

Inherited Effect 

[When Deleted] You can play 1 “Takuya Kamihara” from your hand without paying the cost.

EmperorGreymon

[When Digivolving] <Blitz> (When the memory is 1 or more on your opponent’s side, this Digimon can attack.)

[Your Turn][Once Per Turn] When this Digimon is blocked, unsuspend this Digimon and gain 1 memory for each Digimon card with [Hybrid] in its form in this Digimon’s digivolution cards.

WereGarurumon

[On Play] When you have a tamer in play, increase your memory by +2. When you don’t have a tamer, you can play a blue tamer card from your hand without paying the cost. 

Inherited Effect 

[Your Turn][Once Per Turn] When this Digimon is unsuspended during the main phase, gain 1 memory.

MetalGreymon

[When Deleted] When you have tamer in play, increase your memory by +2. If you don’t have your tamer, you can play a red tamer card from your hand without paying its cost.

Inherited Effect 

[In your turn] [Once per turn] When your opponent’s Digimon is trashed, increase your memory by +1.

Stravimon

[On Play] Draw 4 cards from the top of your deck. Add a card with “Hybrid”, “Susanoomon”, or “Takuya Kamihara” to your hand. Return the remaining cards to the bottom of the deck in any order.

Inherited Effect 

[When Deleted] You can play 1 “Takuya Kamihara” from your hand without paying the cost.

Gomamon

[On Play] When this card is played from the evolution source, draw 2 cards.

MagnaGarurumon

[When Digivolving][When Attacking][Once Per Turn] You may return 1 Digimon card with [Hybrid] in its form from this Digimon’s digivolution cards to your hand to return 1 of your opponent’s Digimon with the same level as that card to its owner’s hand. (Trash the digivolution cards of that Digimon.)

[Your Turn][Once Per Turn] When your hand is increased by an effect, unsuspend 1 of your Digimon.

Erismon

Inherited Effect 

[Own Turn] When this Card is destroyed by the << Digiburst >> that this Digimon exerted, return this card to your hand.

Next Adventure alternate art

Rasenmon

When digivolving into this card from your hand, the memory cost of the digivolution is equal to the number of cards in your security stack. If you have 0 security cards, the memory cost is 1.

[Main][Once Per Turn] <Digi-Burst up to 4> (Trash up to 4 of this Digimon’s digivolution cards to activate the effect below.) ?1 of your opponent’s Digimon gets -3000 DP for the turn for each card trashed by this card’s effect.

Kazuchimon

[When Digivolving] If you have 3 or more security cards, gain 2 memory. If you have 2 or fewer security cards, you may <Recovery +1 (Deck)> until there are 3 cards in your security stack. (Place the top card of your deck on top of your security stack.)

[Your Turn] While you have 3 or more security cards, this Digimon gains <Security Attack +1>. (This Digimon checks 1 additional security card.)

Betamon

[On Play] Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Add 1 green level 4 Digimon card or 1 green Tamer card among them to your hand. Place the remaining cards at the bottom of your deck in any order.

Dorumon

[On Play] Reveal 3 cards from the top of your deck. Add 1 Digimon card with [X-Antibody] in its type and 1 [Kota Doumoto] card from among them to your hand. Place the remaining cards at the bottom of your deck in any order.

Inherited Effect 

[Your Turn] [Once Per Turn] When you place a card under this Digimon as a digivolution card, gain 1+ memory.

DarkKnightmon

[On Play] You may place 1 [SkullKnightmon] and/or 1 [DeadlyAxemon] from your hand and/or trash at the bottom of this Digimon’s digivolution cards in any order.

[All Turn When this Digimon is deleted, you may play 1 [SkullKnightmon] and/or 1 [DeadlyAxemon] suspended that were in this Digimon’s digivolution cards from your trash without paying their memory costs.

Dorugoramon

[Your Turn] This Digimon gets +1000 DP for every digivolution card it has with [X-Antibody] in its type.

[When Attacking][Once Per Turn] You may place 1 Digimon card with [X-Antibody] in its type from your hand under this Digimon as its bottom digivolution card. If you do, delete up to 2 of your opponent’s Digimon with a play cost less than or equal to the number of digivolution cards under this card.

Lopmon 

Inherited Effect 

[Your Turn][Once Per Turn] When you play a Tamer, gain 1 memory.

Next Adventure alternate art

Cherubimon

[When Digivolving] You may play 1 Purple Tamer card from your trash without paying its memory cost. Then, for each Tamer you have in play, delete 1 of your opponent’s level 4 or lower Digimon.

[On Deletion] For each Tamer you have in play, you may play 1 level 3 Digimon card from your trash without paying its memory cost.

Lucemon : Chaos Mode

Your [Lucemon] can digivolve into this card in your hand for a memory cost of 7 ignoring this card’s digivolution requirements.

When you would play this card in your hand, reduce the memory cost by 3 for every 10 cards in your Trash.

[On Play][When Digivolving] Delete 1 of your opponent’s level 6 or lower Digimon or 1 of your opponent’s Tamers.

Susanoomon

By placing a total of 10 cards that are Tamers or Digimon cards with Hybrid in their form from your hand or trash to the bottom of your deck in any order, you may digivolve this card in your hand onto your Tamer as if the Tamer is a level 6 Digimon.

<Security Attack+2>(This Digimon checks 2 additional security cards)

[When Digivolving] Delete 1 of your opponent’s Digimon.

The Alternate Art cards of the Next Adventure set will focus heavily on action shots, with a lot going on with chaotic colours. These types of cards always look intense, offering a nice contrast to the calmer looking standard versions. The lower level Digimon alt art cards have really a nice artist appearance, with some of the backgrounds based on the theme of nightfall and dusk, while others show their future Digivolutions faded in the background, a style we have seen before throughout the Digimon TCG.
