Pokemon GO crossover event  – everything you need to know

Over the past few weeks, we have been sharing card reveals for the upcoming crossover Pokemon GO set releasing on July 1st. For those of you who also enjoy playing the Pokemon GO mobile game, or may want to try it for the first time to feel closer to this brand new set, we thought we might share some information on the game and the upcoming event celebrating the exciting TCG crossover.

With Pokemon GO celebrating its debut in the Pokemon TCG, the augmented reality mobile game is holding a special event on June 16th which will include several special Pokemon to find and catch, as well as the debut of Wimpod and the return of the popular shiny Meltan. The Pokemon GO crossover event will kick off on June 16th at 10 am local time and will end at 8 pm on June 30th.

Among the Pokemon appearing is a really cool Pikachu wearing a Pokemon TCG hat, which will also appear in a card, as well as the original three starters and their middle forms. Those really lucky could run into a Shiny Dragonite, Chansey or Snorlax. There will also be several Pokemon available through different Raid levels, with the Mega forms of Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur appearing at the higher end.

Collectors will get the chance to collect both Lunatone and Solrock, regardless of what hemisphere you live in, which was the case before the Pokemon GO crossover event. There is also a chance of catching a shiny Meltan by opening the Mystery Box during the event. There will also be six new Collection Challenges coming with the crossover event, giving players a series of tasks to complete before the event ends. If you are able to complete the Collection Challenges, you will be able to catch Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise and Meltan, as well as a Lure Module, an Incubator and XP rewards.

Before the Pokemon GO crossover, A Mewtwo with Shadow Ball will appear within five-star raids between June 16th and 23rd, with another that has Psystrike appearing between June 23rd and July 1st. Also, fans can take part in the Community Day taking place on June 25th, which will focus on Deino. If you can evolve your Deino before 7 pm, it will learn the Brutal Swing attack.

The Pokemon GO crossover booster will release on July 1st and will have other products released alongside it like several collectable tins and the Elite Trainer Box which is jam-packed with Pokemon TCG goodies.
