With Pokemon Legends: Arceus just over a week away, we thought we’d take a look at some of the promo Pokemon TCG cards that are being released to commemorate the newest entry into the Pokemon video game series.
Arceus V promo
The main promo Pokemon card releasing as a gift with preorders of Pokemon Legends: Arceus in Japan is a beautiful Arceus V 267/S-P that was initially revealed when the games were showcased back in February last year. The beautiful card by Atsushi Furusawa, who most recently drew that amazing Vaporeon VMAX Alt Art, shows Arceus in front of Mount Coronet as pokemon like Bidoof and Beautifly look on in awe. This stamped promo is arguably better than the gorgeous Arceus V Alt Art we saw release in Star Birth this month – both together would be *chef’s kiss”.
Arceus V 267/S-P is likely to be printed to oblivion and I’d expect prices to fall below the £30 price preorders are currently selling for on eBay UK when the game officially releases on January 28th.
Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott
Originally revealed as part of a KFC promotion in Taiwan, the starters from Pokemon Legends: Arceus are coming to the English TCG inside Pokemon TCG: Brilliant Stars “Collector’s Bundle” which release on March 25th.
These three starters, each from their own specific generation, return in Pokemon Legends: Arceus within the Hisui region. Fans have been speculating for months at the chance of Hisui evolution lines for the three fan favourites and we’re only a week away from finding out if that;’s the case. How cool would a Hisui Typhlosion look?
When Pokemon Legends: Arceus was initially revealed we expected to see further promotional items to go alongside the TCG. Whilst we don’t have many promotional products to write home about, Pokemon TCG: Brilliant Stars is shaping up to be the Arceus-focused set we all dreamed of last year. Brilliant Stars releases worldwide on February 25th and we can’t wait to see what else is in store!
Will you be picking up a copy of Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
