Last night, Pokemon Radar in collaboration with the live streaming auction app, Whatnot, came together with the Pokemon community to raise over $52,500 for charity with a 1996 Japanese Base Set Booster Box break.
The box, donated by Whatnot, contained 60 packs with 59 individually auctioned in conjunction with different charities selected by influencers in the community. The final pack was given away through Instagram to one lucky winner.
Half of the packs were auctioned with the proceeds going to the Aoki Foundation, focused on research in brain science and preservation.
This monumental event hosted by Pokemon Radar shows the power of the Pokemon community in raising a significant amount of money for charity from one single event, showcasing the power that we all have when we come together to do good in the world.
