December has well and truly begun with our advent calendars torn open and gift buying underway. This time of year is best however for giving back to those most in need and one UK Pokemon YouTuber is hosting a huge 15h charity raffle stream to give back to a children’s charity close to his heart.
On Saturday, December 4th starting at 9 am GMT, Mattculli Pokemon will be hosting a live charity event on YouTube dedicated to raising money for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, a Sussex based children’s charity helping to make kids in hospital have something to look forward to at Christmas.
All money raised throughout the marathon 15-hour stream will help Rockinghorse buy gifts and food hampers for children in hospitals across Sussex to spread that festive cheer during a difficult period for many. Matthew Cullimore, the brains behind the event which is running for a second successive year, has Rockinghorse children’s charity close to his heart. In 2019, his son Logan spent 6 weeks in Brightons’ Royal Sussex hospital after premature birth. During this time, his wife also spent time in the ICU unit adding to immense levels of stress.
Thanks to Rockinghorse, Matt’s son had access to life-saving equipment that saved his life and now through his own YouTube channel, he looks to give back via the Pokemon community. Throughout the 15 hour stream, Matt will be joined by other UK YouTube personalities like PokiChloe and PokeDean in an attempt to raise £4000 in time for the holidays.
For every £5 you donate via the event’s Justgiving page you’ll receive an entry into a massive giveaway drawn live on YouTube. The prizes include a brand new Nintendo Switch OLED with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl alongside loads of Pokemon TCG goodies.
If you want to give back to a UK children’s charity this holiday season then please head over to the JustGiving page here and donate from as little as £5. You’ll be able to tune into the event from 9 am GMT on Saturday morning via Mattculli’s Pokemon channel and donate throughout the event to help reach the £4000 goal for Rockinghorse children’s charity!
