Julie Hang

Julie Hang’s Bulbasaur screams fun. A playful artwork focused on showing Bulbasaur using vine whip to play in the trees, swinging alongside its friends. This Bulbasaur art is fun, cute, vibrant, and everything you could ask for in an image capturing the starter Pokemon’s playful nature.

Akin to Latios & Latias GX Alternate Art, Porosuke’s loving image of two Bulbasaurs sharing a romantic moment on a beautiful beach is a gorgeous snapshot into Bulbasaur’s natural habitat. The sunset colour palette alongside the soft brush strokes makes for a card that would fit perfectly into any Pokemon TCG set.

What more natural a habitat than a shower? In this hilarious artwork, ayo has created a playful Bulbasaur entry for the Pokemon TCG Illustration Contest 2022. With Oddish, Bellsprout, and Hoppip waiting for their turn to soak up some nutrition the art is a playful reminder of plant Pokemon and a really cute addition to this list.

Mai Tominaga

The next two entries into this top 5 Bulbasaurs from Pokemon TCG Illustration Contest 2022 are similar in capturing the Bulbasaur’s peaceful sanctuary. This particular Bulbasaur artwork shows sunlight reaching through the trees giving an epic insight into Bulbasaur’s natural habitat.

Takashi Shiraishi

If you’ve been following our previous lists, we love a watercolour Pokemon card and this entry by Akashi Shiraishi is no different. Two Bulbasaur are seen chilling in a pond, the artwork would fit in perfectly as a painting on a wall and emphasises the artistic aspect of Pokemon TCG art design.
