Pokemon TCG: S9a Battle Legion – Latest card reveals

Pokemon TCG S9a Battle Legion releases in Japan on February 25th, the same day Pokemon TCG: Brilliant Stars releases for English Pokemon TCG players.

There had previously been reveals of a new Sparkling Pokemon card type similar to Shining Pokemon from the past (see below for images). Now Character Rares and Character Super Rares, first seen in VMAX Climax in December have been revealed:

These CHR and CSR cards include some brand new Pokemon from the Hisui region including Kleavor and Wyrdeer, the trusty stead used to travel in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

The brand new subset called Sparkling Pokemon with two Pokemon revealed so far: Sparkling Greninja and Sparkling Hawlucha. These cards are reminiscent of Shining Pokemon from the past and could likely include texturised Pokemon like the Shining Legends Shining Pokemon. Alongside the potential texture, images show a reverse holofoil similar to the reverse holo cards from December 2021’s VMAX Climax.

We also have confirmation that Battle Legion will include new styles of reverse holos with a Pokeball pattern reminiscent of reverse holos from past eras.

We’ll update this article with further information as we get closer to the release of s9a Battle Legion in February.

What other Sparkling Pokemon would you like to see?
