The latest Starter Decks announced in the Digimon Card game will focus on Jesmon and RagnaLoardmon. Jesmon has been a popular archetype in the TCG for a while, with the supporting cards coming with this latest deck hopefully injecting some fresh support. It is likely that these decks will be dual colour cards and will be the last jogress decks, making them red and black. While we don’t have a card list yet, we do have the product specifics and images of what the boxes will look like without the feature Digimon appearing.
Starter Deck Contents –
1 x Constructed Deck (54 cards)
2 x Memory Gauge (plastic)
6 x Alt-Art Cards
With RagnaLoardmon fronting one of the decks, It will be interesting to see if Bandai intend on including the Legend-Arms chain from the Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Red and Blue games. If this is the case, how will the weaponized form of different Digimon be used in the game? Both of the focus Digimon chosen for these new starters are anniversary Digimon, celebrating the 15th and 20th anniversary of the franchise. We are yet to see any card reveals for this starter deck but with Jesmon and RagnaLoardmon taking up the mantle, I’m sure we won’t be disappointed.
Before the release of these two Starter Decks, Tamers will get their hands on the Ultimate Ancient Dragon and Tactician from Another World starter decks, as well as the Special Entry Set, which is designed to help new players get started in an easier format. Gammamon, a Digimon who was introduced in the Ghost Game anime series, will front ST11 The Special Entry Set, as well as some old favourites such as Agumon and Biyomon. ST11 will also come with two memory gauges and a nice deck box with the Gammamon artwork on the front.
Starter Decks Jesmon and RagnaLoardmon will release on October 14th for the English version of the Digimon Card Game. This could be around the same time that BT-10: Xros Encounter will release, as by that point the X-Record booster would have been out for three months.
