When it comes to valuable cards in the Digimon TCG, tournament prizes like the Premier TO WarGreymon and the Evolution Cup Omnimon may come to mind. Although these cards are impressive, already reaching three-figure values, they have inadvertently shadowed some of the rarest cards that can be pulled from booster packs.
Special Release Booster 1.0 & 1.5
Special Booster 1.0 and 1.5 were the first official English Digimon TCG sets, which were released in January and March 2021. The most valuable card of the Special Release Booster, which came within the first part of the set, is the Omnimon alternate art. This was the first big chase card of the Digimon TCG and held the title of the most valuable card in the game until the tournament cards came along. Last May, this card was selling for $258 but has since dropped in value. Currently, this Omnimon alternate art is selling for between $62 and $100 on eBay but selling for an average of $65 on TCG Player.

The most valuable cards from the Great Legend booster set are the connecting art SECs, all illustrated by renowned artist Naochika Morishita, who has worked on several Digimon artworks throughout his career. AncientGreymon alt art is currently selling for around $40 on both eBay and TCG Player, while the AncientGarurumon alt art has been achieving a value of $21 on TCG Player. Battle of Omni
Bandai wasn’t kidding when they named the set ‘Battle of Omni’, injecting 12 different Omnimon cards into Digimon TCG, including the alternate arts. As you may expect, the most valuable of these cards are the Omnimon SECs.
The most valuable card of this set is the alt art Omnimon Zwart Defeat, which is worth $65 on TCG Player and $55 on eBay. The standard version of Omnimon Zwart Defeat isn’t far behind holding a value of between $40 and $50. The Omnimon X Anti-body alt art, which references the artwork of the old Hyper Colosseum is currently worth between $30 and $35.
The Double Diamond booster set was released on October 15th in Europe although many regions didn’t get the set until December. The alt art Alphamon has been selling for an average of $50 on TCG Player and $45 on eBay. BeelStarmon, who is a fan favourite considered to be the male equivalent of Beelzemon, currently holds a value of between $50 and $60.
To celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Digimon TCG, Bandai included Omnimon ‘Ghost’, the rarest booster card in the entire game. Raw copies of this card are selling for around $800 raw. Last month, a PSA 10 Omnimon Ghost sold for a whopping $6547 after a best offer was accepted, which was $2500 lower than the original asking price.
Last winter, the first EX set was released. The Classic Collection paid homage to the Digi-Battle and Hyper Colosseum from the 90s, borrowing artwork and card layout of those previous games. The most valuable card that can be pulled from this set is the alt art Analog Youth card selling for between $83 and $90 on TCG Player and between $65 and $80 on eBay. The most recent set in the Digimon Card Game is Next Adventure, which was released on March 4th and is themed around the Digimon Digimon Frontier series. Although it was the SECs that held the most value for the first couple of weeks, it is the alt art Dorumon that has managed to creep to the top of the market. This card is currently selling for between $60 and $65 on TCG Player, with copies on eBay also going for $60.
Lucemon: Chaos Mode alt art is the second most valuable card of this set, selling for between $55 and $60.The other SEC alt art, Susanoomon, is trailing just behind with a value of between $40 and $55.
